Record suspicion at lofty heights
At the end of the valley in Saalbach Hinterglemm, a unique excursion destination is hidden away: Europe’s highest treetop hike awaits you on the Baumzipfelweg. On the way from the parking lot in Hinterlengau to the Baumzipfelweg you will discover the most magical sides of the winter alpine landscape. The Baumzipfelweg itself is about one kilometer long and leads over eleven towers and platforms at a height of up to 30 meters as well as over 33 bridges and a skywalk. Cohesion and team spirit are required when mastering the obstacles. When you step over the “Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps”, the adventure is perfect. This is because the 200-meter-long bridge hovers up to 42 meters above the rushing Saalach River. A real highlight in your family vacation!
The Baumzipfelweg is open all year round, in the winter months even until 22:00. At night, the hike on the illuminated path is even more exciting.
In addition to the tree-top trail, there is also a family-friendly motor skills park. There you can climb, balance and swing diligently on various rope and bridge constructions. The largest high ropes park in Austria, the Lindlingalm, a wood park and the “Devil’s Water” can also be found at the head of the valley in Saalbach Hinterglemm.

Reiterkogel toboggan run
It’s even faster downhill on this toboggan run. First, however, you can comfortably drive uphill with the Reiterkogelbahn to the Wieseralm. There are already the rental tobogganing with brakes ready for the descent. The winding descent is three and a half kilometres long and leads to the centre of Hinterglemm.
