Free of charge from the hotel to the ski lift

You couldn’t ask for a better starting point for your skiing vacation: Hotel Barbarahof is only about five minutes away from the nearest ski lift. You can get there with the hotel’s own ski shuttle or with the ski bus, which leaves every 20 minutes. The bus stop is only 50 meters from the hotel. With your ski pass, the ride is even free. Even more unique is the transport to the lift with the free ski train. And funny to boot! “Locomotive driver” Sepp will pick you up directly in front of the hotel and take you to the Reiterkogel or to the Schattberg-X-Press. On the trip Sepp heats up with typical hits and atmospheric après-ski hits. At the latest now all guests are awake and the motivation to ski becomes a bit bigger with every hit. The departure times of the ski train are five times a day (except Saturdays) between 08:30 and 10:00. Meeting point is ten minutes before departure in front of the hotel.

In between, recharge your batteries with sunshine and energy at a stop in one of 60 rustic alpine huts. For example, at the Wieser Alm in Hinterglemm, which is located right next to the mountain station of the Reiterkogelbahn. There you will enjoy delicious specialties and a fabulous view of the snowy mountain peaks.

You can’t get enough of the varied fun on the slopes? No problem! Because with the Ski ALPIN CARD, instead of 270 kilometers of slopes, a whole 408 await you. With your ticket to skiing fun you can also explore the slopes on the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn.
