High up with the mountain railroads
The Reiterkogelbahn takes you from the center of Hinterglemm up to the Reiterkogel. The mountain station is located at 1,480 meters above sea level. The parking spaces at the valley station are subject to a fee. Once at the top, explore the medicinal herb trail and other attractions, such as Mount Kodok or Expedition Kodok. At 1,984 meters above sea level is the mountain station of the Zwölferkogelbahn. The starting point is the free parking lot on the western edge of Hinterglemm. Experiences at the summit of the Zwölferkogel include the Heimatrundweg and a slackline course. The Kohlmaisbahn takes you from the valley station in the center of Saalbach uphill to an altitude of 1,794 meters. Free parking is available at the railroad. At Kohlmais there is an adventure trail with game feeding, Montelino’s water playground and other adventurous highlights.
On the 2,020 meter high summit of the Schattberg you will experience “highlights” in the truest sense of the word. One of them is the X-Line, the longest freeride route in Europe. In the valley, at the station of the Schattberg-X-Press in the center of Saalbach, you can park free of charge. At the top of the mountain, the Schattberg Sprinter takes you from the east summit to the west summit of the Schattberg. You prefer to climb the west summit from Hinterglemm – or rather: drive up comfortably? No problem, because the Westgipfelbahn will take you up the mountain from there.
Near the center of Leogang, take the Asitzbahn up to 1,762 meters. A sensory adventure park, the LeoKlang summer toboggan run and the Leogang Bike Park ensure unforgettable vacation moments in the Alps. And also the Steinbergbahn takes you from Leogang up to the Asitz.
On the road in Saalbach Hinterglemm
With the slow train you will experience a fun ride through the valley head of Hinterglemm. Your destination is a family paradise with a high ropes park, tree-top trail and even more unique vacation attractions.
