Montelino’s funny world of experience
The family excursion begins with a gondola ride to the top. The Kohlmaisbahn takes you from the center of Saalbach to the summit for free with your JOKER CARD. Up there in the mountain world you will meet Montelino the clown and help him find his beloved friends and toys. The search will take you across alpine meadows and through forests, where you will master many fun stations. Those who find what they are looking for can win great prizes. The three-kilometer hiking trail is suitable for strollers. The hike with refreshment stops takes about 90 minutes. You will also meet Montelino, the friendly clown, at the water playground and at the game feeding at Kohlmais. Every day between 10:00 and 11:00 you can watch the feeding of the deer. Big eyes and open mouths are pre-programmed. Montelino’s summit playground is located at the mountain station of the Zwölferkogel lift. The children test their skills by climbing the high seat, on the climbing course and on the slacklines. As a reward, there is a lot of fun and a breathtaking mountain panorama. And finally, on Mount Kodok, the task is to hunt the eponymous goblin Kodok and bring Montelino back his beloved cap. Little adventurers who want to find out the secret code word have to solve tricky puzzles and play equally tricky games along the 3.5 kilometers. In between, stop at the Rosswaldhütte, where you will also find Montelino’s children’s play area.

On the Baumzipfelweg in the valley head of Hinterglemm, the highest treetop hike in Europe is waiting to be conquered. The highlight is the 200-meter-long “Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps,” which floats 42 meters above the Saalach River. Right next door is the Motorik Park with the largest high ropes course in Austria, the Lindlingalm, a high ropes course and the “Devil’s Water”. An unforgettable experience in your family vacation!
