After an extensive breakfast with us at the Hotel Barbarahof, most of the hotel guests will go straight on to the slopes. And although the stomach is well filled, he returns after a few hours of wonderful skiing with a loud growl. There are huts for a stopover in Saalbach Hinterglemm, enough in the most casual ski area in the Alps. More than 60, to be precise. Sometimes it is quite difficult to find the right one.

The Xandl-Alm in Hinterglemm
A ski hut could hardly be more original. Under the slogan “Sche das du ba ins” (Beautiful that you are with us) the team of the Xandl-Alm welcomes its guests every day. The decision whether one prefers to sit in the cozy-modern restaurant or on the sun terrace is far from easy with this flair. The Xandl-Alm seduces its visitors with hearty, typical Austrian dishes, with which they strengthen themselves for the ski afternoon. The hut is located near the 12erkogel car park. On skis you can reach the alpine hut via the slopes 11a and 12.

Unforgettable mountain panorama wanted – Hendl fishing found! Opposite the Asitz mountain station, one of the most beautiful views opens up in the Saalbach Hinterglemm ski area. The unusual name of the alpine pasture is a program: because in an urban-modern yet typical alpine pasture atmosphere there is both: “Huwi’s” world-famous Grillhendl or the Steckerlfisch. There is also cool Ibiza DJ sound and cool drinks. Whether on the outdoor sun terrace or in the Almstube: Hendl fishing is probably the most casual ski hut in the ski area. It can be reached via the Steinbergbahn II – just a stone’s throw from the exit at the mountain station.

The Alpen-Drive-in von Saalbach. With drive-in, are you thinking of typical fast food from the burger bar around the corner? Not so in Schwarzacher: Admittedly, fast food is true. But in first-class quality and for the very special enjoyment. Whether legendary Schwarzacher Burger, Cevapcici, Currywurst or Bosna – in the Schwarzacher there is enjoyable fast food in the country mix. The alpine pasture is located directly at the valley station of the Unterschwarzachbahn in Hinterglemm and is easy to reach even without skiing.
The mood: Towards the afternoon, the mood rises noticeably. At lunchtime you still eat your burger quite comfortably.
In this rustic hut, sun worshippers from all over the world gather daily. Austrian home cooking and Salzburg cordiality are the order of the day at the Wieseralm. The hut at the valley station is not one of the largest of the ski area, but certainly one of the most comfortable. Regionality and individuality are of great priority in the Wieseralm, so it is hardly surprising that products from our own agriculture find their way to the plates. You can reach the Wieseralm with the Reiterkogelbahn via the family exit 32.

A real tip for après-ski fans: the Hinterhag Alm
If you are looking for an apricot-ski hut, you will find it in the Hinterhag Alm. It is located directly at the Kohlmais downhill run 52. Every day from 16:00 the Hinterhag Alm turns into a big, almost never-ending apres-ski party. Live music is sung, chanted and the end of the day celebrated on two floors.
