I pack my suitcase … For many people, packing a suitcase before a vacation is anything but child’s play. Those who travel in winter in particular face major challenges. It’s a good thing that the team at the Hotel Barbarahof are “experts”, so to speak, when it comes to packing suitcases. After all, even the most experienced vacationer forgets his toothbrush from time to time. To prevent this from happening to you, we have created a personal winter vacation suitcase packing checklist for you. Have fun packing!
PLEASE DRESS WARMLY
It can get really cold in winter in the snow paradise of Saalbach Hinterglemm. So it’s worth packing enough warm clothing.
You should definitely take these items of clothing with you:
- warm winter jacket and sturdy winter shoes
- Gloves, hat and scarf for long walks in the snow
- warm sportswear for hiking and winter outdoor activities, such as winter tobogganing or cross-country skiing
- Sun protection for stopping off on the sunny terraces of the alpine huts
- Ski socks and underwear for your perfect day of skiing in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm
- Ski or snowboard clothing including ski helmet and goggles for safe and unlimited fun on the slopes

Then you can leave these baby accessories at home with a clear conscience:
- Crib
- Baby monitor

WHAT YOU MAY NOT HAVE THOUGHT OF
On cold winter afternoons and after sporting activities, the sauna world with relaxation room at the Hotel Barbarahof is your cozy oasis of well-being with recreational value. You don’t need much to relax and enjoy yourself. You should only pack the following:
- Bikini, swimsuit or swimming trunks for the herb
- Whirlpool, the fresh water
- Plunge pool, the aroma steam bath and the warming room (tepidarium)
More free space in your suitcase: you can safely leave your bathrobe at home. Because it is already waiting for you in your hotel room at the Barbarahof – along with a pair of soft terry slippers. Fluffy towels are also part of the all-round feel-good package in your cozy vacation home.
