Arrival to the Hotel Barbarahof in Saalbach

Located in the midst of the Austrian Alps, Hotel Barbarahof is easy and convenient to reach from all directions. No matter whether you arrive by plane, car, coach or train. To Saalbach Hinterglemm you drive toll-free and partly without using the highway. This is your central vacation home in the province of Salzburg.

… then take the Westautobahn (A1) from Vienna in the direction of Salzburg and
Route 1:
- take the Wals-Lofer exit.
- Via the “little German corner” (Bad Reichenhall) we continue towards Zell am See to Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Route 2:
- At the Salzburg junction, change to the Tauern freeway (A10) in the direction of Villach.
- At the Bischofshofen junction, turn off onto the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße (B311) in the direction of Zell am See,
- via Maishofen and Viehhofen you reach Saalbach Hinterglemm.
They come from Germany, …
… then on the freeway Munich-Salzburg (A8) take the exit Siegersdorf and
- drive in the direction of Inzell and turn off at the signposted junction in the direction of Lofer.
- Continue across the state border to Lofer,
- from there it continues via Saalfelden in the direction of Zell am See.
- In Maishofen you will reach the Glemmtal exit,
- from there you reach Saalbach Hinterglemm in about six kilometers via Viehhofen.

Route 1:
- At the Bischofshofen junction, exit onto the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße (B311) in the direction of Zell am See.
- Via Maishofen and Viehhofen you reach Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Route 2:
- take AFTER Spittal the next exit to the car transport Mallnitz-Böckenstein and get on the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße (B311) direction Zell am See.
- Via Maishofen and Viehhofen you reach Saalbach Hinterglemm.

… then take the Brenner freeway (A13) in the direction of Innsbruck and
- take the Innsbruck Ost exit.
- Continue on the Inntalautobahn (A12) in the direction of Wörgl.
- Take the exit Wörgl West and continue on the federal road B312 in the direction of Saalfelden,
- via Maishofen and Viehhofen you reach Saalbach Hinterglemm.
You travel by train
The nearest train station to Hotel Barbarahof is in Zell am See. From there, the post bus will take you to Viehhofen every one to two hours. Or you can take a cab, which will take you to your vacation home in about 15 minutes.

You travel by plane
The nearest international airport is Salzburg Airport. The most comfortable way to get from there to Saalbach Hinterglemm is with the Holiday Shuttle buses. The journey time is about 1 ½ hours. The buses go there and back four times a day.
